Do you want the relationship of your dreams? Here’s how

Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day! This always makes me reflect on the true meaning of love.
I know we all want to be loved and we all want to have an object of our affection. Everyone talks about unconditional love, but have you ever really given that, except possibly with a baby? It seems we can do it for a little while, but then those darn old conditions start coming in, don’t they?
“If he would just (fill in the blank), then I would be happy”
“If she would just let me (fill in the blank), then I would be happy.”
After all these years of working with couples (20 years as a divorce attorney, 15 years with Sedona Soul Adventures) I’ve finally decided that what we all really want is for someone to GET us. To know everything there is to know about us (all the good stuff, all the “bad” stuff, all the weird stuff) but even after all that, they still love us and want to be with us. For me that is truly the definition of unconditional love.
And the quickest way I’ve found to get there is this — If you want the relationship of your dreams, you need to take the other person off the hook.
With all the couples retreats that we’ve done over the years, the theme that we see over and over again, is that each person isn’t loving the other person for who they truly are. They say they love them, but they simply want them to be completely different!
They want us to “fix” them – have them change so that they can love them.
In every moment, we can either choose love or something else — upset, fear, jealousy, frustration. How do you want to live your life? I highly recommend living it from love.
The problem is, most people don’t know how to do that. When something happens, we don’t have the tools to communicate our hurt and our loss to our partners in a way that they can receive it and we don’t know how to let go of the hurts of the past that still haunt us. Sometimes people are holding onto things that happened long ago in the past, sometimes as long as 20 years ago!
Last year we had a couple who came here and their marriage was pretty much over. They had been married for over 12 years, they have 2 beautiful children. They started out really loving each other, but over the years they had grown completely apart with many different interests that seemed incompatible. The sizzle was completely gone and worse, their respect for each other had been eroded by things that had happened in the past.
They actually separated and he had contacted a divorce attorney. In a last ditch effort, he convinced her to come to Sedona to do a couples retreat. Their goals were different — he wanted to save the marriage, she wanted to make the divorce go more smoothly. They were both miserable and unhappy.
In their first couples session, they did both acknowledge how much they had loved each other over the 12 years they had been together. They also identified when things had started to go off the rails, which led to his feelings of inadequacy and her feelings of disrespect toward him.
Then they both did separate emotional clearing sessions. In her session, she realized how she was living out a pattern of her mother disrespecting her father. She came to a huge realization that her mother’s disrespect of her father had triggered feelings of inadequacy within her. This often happens when parents disrespect each other, because children have this innate knowing that their mother is part of them, their father is part of them. So when her mother disrespected her father, she began to (unconsciously) believe there was something wrong with her.
She had never dealt with these feelings of inadequacy. All of that was cleared out, and then her practitioner helped her clear out all the pain and grief she had accumulated over the last few years when the marriage was falling apart. She told me she felt like this huge weight had been lifted.
In his emotional clearing session, he realized that her disrespect of him had triggered his own feelings of “not enough”. In his session, his practitioner dug deep and they discovered an event that had happened with his father. In a moment of frustration and thoughtlessness, his father said to his 6 year old son “you’re worthless”. This had cut deep into him, in a way he never understood until then. He had unconsciously held onto that pain all these years. He experienced a similar release, with lots of crying that he said felt so cleansing.  He told me, “I was always taught that men aren’t supposed to cry, but I can’t believe how good that felt, to finally let go of all that”.
Both of them were triggering each other’s unhealed feelings of inadequacy. It’s the ultimate irony, isn’t it? That the person who is “supposed” to love us the most, is actually triggering these deep feelings of not-enoughness? But that’s the nature of relationships. Our deepest relationships trigger our unhealed parts and bring them up for healing. It’s the crucible – burning off the impurities to get to the gold of a healed heart.
Most people don’t understand that this is really what’s happening in our relationships. It’s not so much what the other person is “doing” or “not doing” – the other person is triggering old wounds that are coming up for healing.
But the really amazing part for both of them came in their breath journeys, which they each did separately.
The breath journey took her into the altered state very easily and suddenly she saw her mother (who had passed away many years ago). In that moment, her mother seemed to be the embodiment of love. Her mother communicated her deep love for her and also her deep love for her father. She had this huge realization that “everything is all about love”, there really isn’t anything else that matters. Suddenly, she felt her heart burst open with the deep love for her husband that had always been there, but had just been covered over with the slings and arrows of the past few years. She saw an image of she and her husband walking together in what appeared to be some sort of paradise, blissfully happy.
In his breath work session, he saw lots of images and colors, which intrigued him because he doesn’t think of himself as very visual or very creative. And then suddenly his father was there with him. His father communicated his deep love that he had for his son. He also communicated that his son needed to become more of a man. Not a macho type of manliness, but the man who takes care of his woman and takes care of his family and lets them know he is there for them. He realized he had abdicated this role and that his wife no longer felt cared for by him. He said it was the strangest thing, but that after the session, he actually felt “stronger”.
After these amazing clearings and healings and realizations, they then came together for a couples session. Both of them were so full of love for each other, they were almost bursting. Their marriage was completely restored. Along the way with their other sessions, they received tools for continuing to have all of this continue to go deeper and to maintain, especially through deep and honest communication.
The best part was that after they went home, they continued to use the tools and their love just came through deeper and deeper. They came back again 2 weeks ago to take their relationship to an even deeper level and they’ve never been so happy. They both said the most amazing thing was that some of the same things are still going on as before — their interests are somewhat divergent and there are issues with work. But for both of them, it just doesn’t matter. They’ve taken the other person off the hook. They both feel loved and respected by the other, and that’s the most critical piece for both of them. The smaller issues just don’t seem that important any longer.
I love this so much. It’s so incredible what can happen when we finally release the wounds of the past and move into love. It changes everything.

“My wife of 12 years (Together for 14) and I have two children ages 4 and 8. Up until about 18 months ago we lived a “fairy-tale” marriage. we played together, laughed together, and enjoyed life together. The Sedona Effect strikes again

I had a really wonderful conversation this week with someone who had just finished her Soul Adventure retreat. She told me she was so amazed at what had happened in just 3 days. She said that before she came to Sedona she felt lost, plagued by constant fearful thoughts, not knowing her life purpose and feeling this terrible feeling that she was running out of time to live her best life. That after her adventure, her life was completely transformed — the fear was gone, she discovered her life purpose and knows she has the tools to live it fully and completely. All in 3 days – it’s almost unbelievable.
I told her it’s what I call the Sedona Effect and how we’ve been able to develop it into this amazing process. It is a process of transformation that can be accessed by those who have a deep desire to bring this kind of conscious transformation into their lives. It comes from the combination of three things – 1) the incredible vortex energy of Sedona; 2) the amazing powers of the practitioners that have been called to Sedona from all over the planet to do their work and who know how to connect with and utilize this energy, and 3) the intense desire of those coming here to effect a life-changing transformation.
The Vortex Energy of Sedona
What is a vortex? A vortex is believed to be a special spot on the planet where higher dimensional energies are concentrated to such an extent that it can be felt by humans. These energies enhance the flow of energy in our own bodies – what the Chinese call “chi”, or the Hindus “prana”. You could say that vortex sites are like acupuncture points on the earth’s surface – and that the acupuncture meridians of the planet are the “ley lines” described by the ancients.
Vortexes (or vortices if you want to be absolutely proper about it, but here in Sedona we all pretty much say “vortexes”) are found at sacred sites throughout the world – the Great Pyramid in Egypt, Machu Picchu in Peru, Bali, Stonehenge, etc. Many people believe that the vortex energies and the energy that flows through our subtle bodies is basically the same – that it is an electro-magnetic energy.
In my experience when you delve into definitions and explanations of what a vortex is, it seems to depend on who you’re talking to or what book you’re reading. If you speak with some scientists, they will tell you that this is electro- magnetic energy that can be measured but that it is behaving in ways that are unusual and can’t be explained. If you speak with the indigenous peoples, e.g., the Native Americans here or the Aborigines in Australia (because Ayers Rock (Uluru) is another one), they will tell you that these are places around the Earth where you can literally feel the energy of the Earth if you will take the time and set the intention to do it.
Here is my own personal belief – after living in Sedona since the turn of the century and having traveled many times to Egypt and Bali and Peru and experiencing those energies – I believe these are places around the world where the God energy (or the energy of the Universe or of All That Is, or whatever you want to call it) literally comes onto the planet and is brought onto the planet. That’s why these places are so incredible.
The Native Americans believe that the energy of Sedona is energy that can be used for transformation. And that’s why such amazing transformations can happen here in such a short period of time.
The other element of the Sedona energy is that in this special place, everything is amplified, meaning energy is amplified, love is amplified, connection is amplified, disconnection is amplified. Whatever you bring to Sedona is magnified and amplified. Thoughts, feelings, vibrations, whether positive or negative, will be more greatly enhanced and intensified on all the levels – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.
In addition, the veils to other dimensions are thinner in Sedona. Our connection to All That Is is amplified and enhanced here. I love what the channel Bashar says about Sedona, “Sedona is a powerful, transformational vortex unparalleled in its own way, unique in its own way, that allows for communication and connection to multiple dimensions of reality on your world”.
The energies of Sedona are unique – not available anywhere else on the planet.
The second aspect of the Sedona Effect, is that healers from all over the world have been drawn here to do their work. Here at Sedona Soul Adventures, our healers have come from England, Germany, South Africa, Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia and of course from all over the United States. In speaking to any of them, you will always hear an incredible story of how they were called to Sedona. My favorite stories are ones about people who were from a completely different background – an airplane pilot, an accountant, a medical doctor, a high fashion model, or in my case, an attorney. Suddenly, something happened where the awareness came that life had to be changed and the change was made.
But most important, these are people who know how to connect with this energy and to utilize it for transformation.
The third aspect of the Sedona Effect is the intense desire of people who come here for deep transformation. It is a palpable, powerful force of energy. Even if you are in turmoil, or especially if you are in turmoil, this is an energy that is huge and real. You know how it feels when you’re around someone who is running too much energy and they’re wired and you can literally feel the energy shooting out of them? The energy of deep desire, especially deep desire for transformation, has that same very real feel to it. It is deep and when it is happening, the person can feel like they’re ready to jump out of their skin.
That’s what happened to me the first time I came to Sedona. I felt like I was literally ready to jump out of my skin. I knew I had to do something; I just didn’t know what that something was. I also didn’t know that this uncomfortable, (almost) painful feeling was actually something powerful that was pushing me and moving me. As I look back now, this was truly the Highest part of my Self shoving me toward the transformations that were in store.
So I came to Sedona for what I thought would be 3 days of just being quiet. Instead, what happened was the Sedona Effect. I brought the energy of my deep desire, I did one session with an incredible practitioner and the energy of the Mother literally came to me with the message that I must change my life. That if I didn’t, I was going to die. I listened to the message. My life was completely transformed because of the Sedona Effect. And a few years later I was able to start bringing that to other people.
Such as the woman whose life was transformed last week in just 3 days. The Sedona Effect at work again doing its stuff!
And the best part is, the changes are real and they last. I got an email this morning from someone who did a soul adventure 9 years ago and she was telling me how everything changed for her and the changes continue to this day. I love that so much.
People call us sometimes and say “I want to find something closer to home” and of course, there isn’t anything closer to home. It’s only here. In Sedona. There’s no one else out there doing what we do and there’s only one place you can do it.

Best Birthday ever

My birthday was last week and it was absolutely incredible. Amazing presents, 3 flower deliveries, pre-birthday dinners and gifts, a number of Starbucks gift cards, an apple pie (my favorite!) lots of cards, tons of Facebook wishes, a birthday trip (see below), etc. But I have to say the best was this card from my cousin, Beth. We grew up together in Iowa. We started ballet and tap classes when I was 3 and she was 4 and we danced together for many years. I love her like a sister. Every year she sends me a special birthday card, usually one with a picture of us in one of our dancing costumes on the front of the card along with a clever limerick inside. This year, she really out-did herself. The front cover of the card is the front cover of my new book and the sentiment inside is this:

Is that the cutest thing ever? On top of that, my family took me on a special trip. In December, my sister in law and brother in law (who live in LA) each called and asked to take me someplace special for my birthday. We talked about Palm Springs and some other places and then I remembered that my sister and brother in law go to Carlsbad, California a lot to a resort that is right on the ocean.
 
That’s what we decided to do and then my brother and sister in law from Oklahoma decided to go. We were there from Thursday through Sunday, hanging out at the beach, eating, drinking, laughing, talking, hot tubbing, going to the meditation gardens at the Self Realization Fellowship, walking on the beach, eating, drinking, talking, laughing, watching the sunset and eating and drinking and talking and laughing. Did I say there was a lot of eating and drinking and talking and laughing?

The night before the trip, 3 of my goddess girlfriends (who are also Sedona Soul Adventures practitioners) took me for shopping and an amazing dinner at Enchantment. I thought we were all shopping together and that they were going to gift me with one of my choices. Instead, all 3 of them were going through the racks of clothes, saying “this would look great on you!”, “try this one!” They ended up getting me a dress and a top that I would have never even tried on, but they’re fabulous and I love them! It was so much fun to have 3 personal shoppers who know me so well.
Then we went to fabulous Enchantment for dinner and as we were deciding what wine to order, suddenly a bottle of champagne appeared with a card from another of my goddess friends (who lives out of town) who knew we would be there! None of us knew that was coming, it was such a beautiful surprise.
I feel so blessed to have this amount of love and connection in my life and I am so grateful every day. When I think of where I was 18 years ago, it’s pretty stunning to me. I actually came to Sedona right before my birthday in January, 1999. I was at such a low point in my life. I talk about it in my book, every single area of my life was a mess. If someone would have shown me a video of where things are 18 years later, I don’t think I would have been able to comprehend that, much less believe it.
And it’s all because of Sedona. This place saved my life. It re-birthed me. How could I know that doing one session would completely change my life? And that three years later, I would start helping other people do the same thing.
We’re at the beginning of a new year. We’re at a time of new beginnings. Are you ready to have your life be different? It’s so amazing to me how quickly things can turn around, especially when the energy shifts. I was just talking about that with a woman who came here last week to do a retreat. She said before she did her Soul Adventure she felt totally lost and confused and frustrated, and now she’s feeling like she completely knows her life purpose and she’s in the process of living it and has the tools with which to do it. It’s absolutely astounding what can happen in 3-4 days.
My birthday wish for you is that your life transforms in some way this year. That something that has been difficult or challenging for you or has been hurting you gets handled or somehow taken care of. I know that doesn’t happen in a vacuum – you can’t just keep on doing the same thing over and over again and expect something to change. As Einstein said, that’s insanity. You have to do something different and I promise you, a Sedona Soul Adventures retreat could make that happen for you.

Finding your smile again

What a week it’s been! I don’t care where you fall on the political spectrum, there was a lot of energy moving this week!
So l really loved it when I got this beautiful message today from Sandra who completed her Soul Adventure last month:
“I am “great full” for the one-on-one experience that I had with all of my practitioners. After the loss of my husband and the turmoil that followed, it was the healing energy of these special people and the energy of Sedona that has helped me find not only peace, but my smile and my motivation to succeed in my life. That touches me so deeply. Sandra lost her husband but she was able to find peace again. Not only to find peace, but to find her smile again.
It’s the thing that makes me the happiest — this knowing that no matter what is going on in our lives, it’s possible to come back to peace and it’s even possible to get our smile back. The truth, trust, and screenshots

I have 2 new favorite things that I’m going to talk about today. Trustpilot and screenshots. Because they both make me feel good.
Every few days or so I get an email from Trustpilot that says “you’ve got a new 5 star review!” and I go and read wonderful things that people have written about Sedona Soul Adventures.
Trustpilot is a company that was started a few years ago because people were discovering that so many of the reviews you read online have been made up by people who have never used the product or service. Companies were paying people $5/hour to write hundreds of rave reviews about their companies and (even worse) they were also paying these people to write negative reviews about their competitors.
We have thousands and thousands of testimonials that people have written for us over the past 14 years and I’ve had people say to me “how do I know those weren’t made up?” Luckily, we don’t get that very often, but I can understand people being skeptical in this day and age. It’s opened the way for the new business of “3rd party reviews”, meaning that a 3rd party (not the company) is collecting and verifying the reviews.
So Trustpilot is a service that sends an email to our clients asking if they’d like to write a review after their Soul Adventure. If the client sends a review to Trustpilot, Trustpilot verifies it’s really them and then posts the review for all to see. Even though we’re paying Trustpilot to do this, we can’t interfere in any way, meaning we can’t edit or take down a negative review. That way you know that all these reviews are on the up and up. And luckily, we’ve had nothing but fabulous reviews.
So I’m going to show you some of our recent reviews, using screenshots from Trustpilot. This leads me to my 2nd favorite thing that I’m loving right now, which is taking screenshots. I have no idea why I love screenshots so much, but I do. I started taking them constantly as my new book (“The Journey To Happy”) was climbing to #1 Best Seller and Hot New Releases on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I kept taking screenshots when I was in the top 100 and then as it was climbing and then when I got into the top 3 and then when I edged out Mother Teresa (God forgive me) and then when I edged out Deepak Chopra’s new book. I kept taking screenshots of the Amazon pages when the book hit #1 in 5 categories and then International #1 in 4 countries. So I have a bunch of screenshots that are in German, that I don’t even understand, but I love it!
I think it also just makes me finally feel computer savvy in the tiniest bit. I usually feel so technically incompetent, that every time the click for the screenshot goes off, it’s exciting (I’m easily entertained!)
But the best part, is these beautiful heartfelt messages. And by seeing the screenshot from Trustpilot, you know they’re real!

Even after all these years and all these thousands of people – it never ceases to amaze me what happens!

Machu Picchu, people getting engaged, memories, and repeaters
This past week I got the most wonderful news. A text message (complete with photos) from 2 people who were on my Peru trip last year telling me they just got engaged! They had the most amazing time in Peru and had such a deep connection with Jorge Luis, our shaman and guide. The day after we texted back and forth, this picture suddenly popped up in my iPhone (out of the blue) and it just made me smile because of all the amazing thoughts and memories that are associated with this photo.
In the photo, we’re on the ceremonial altar which is right on Lake Titicaca and next to the labyrinth. We stay at this amazing place each year, it’s right on the Lake and it’s so beautiful. We had just completed making a very funny video for one of my brothers, sending him greetings from Lake Titicaca (he thinks the name is funny).
Two of the people are the ones who just got engaged. Three other people went with me to Egypt (in previous years) and then last year did this trip to Peru. One of the people went to Egypt with me last year and is going again in February! Since this picture was taken, one of the women has had a gallery showing of her incredible art work. Another one of the women came to Sedona to do a Soul Adventures retreat and it completely changed her life and now she’s about to go to Nepal as part of her work and next year she’s going to Egypt with me! Except for the two who just got engaged, and the mother and daughter, none of the people I’ve mentioned knew each other before this trip. We’ve stayed in touch and they’ve stayed in touch with each other and I feel so blessed to have each and every one of them in my life.
This is the really wonderful thing about these trips. The amazing people that you connect with. And though I’ve made them all sound so incredible, they are just normal, wonderful, nice, fun people. But they are also people who are conscious and spiritually focused and who want their lives to be amazing.

"Debra, it was life changing just like you said"

I got the most wonderful phone call this morning from Carrie, who did her Soul Adventure 3 weeks ago. She said she just wanted to tell me how wonderful her Soul Adventure was and to thank me. The first thing she said was “it was life changing. Just like the web site said it would be”. She said, “I’m so skeptical and I didn’t believe that’s what could happen, but that’s exactly what did happen”.
We had the most amazing conversation. She told me that in her short time here her life was literally transformed:

• She discovered how she was still holding onto her mother’s attempted suicide and that energy was completely released.
• She went from living her life in complete fear (so much so that the fear would wake her up at night) to being happy and joyful.
• She thinks she may have found her life purpose (and is taking steps to live it.

Wow! I asked her to tell me what happened. She gave me permission to use her full name and to tell her story, but she went so deep in her conversation with me and told me so many private things, that I want to protect her privacy.
She wanted me to share her story with you and she told me that if anyone ever wanted to talk to her directly about her Soul Adventure, she would be happy to do that.
She said she wanted other people to experience the happiness and joy that she is now experiencing as a result of her Soul Adventure. I love that so much.
Suffice it to say her name is Carrie, she is married and has a daughter who is in her 20’s and and a young son who is 7 years old. She has been a nurse but just left that because she somehow knew it wasn’t what she was supposed to be doing and it was making her more and more unhappy.
She said that before she came to Sedona she was living her life from fear. She was unhappy and afraid. She said she was so afraid that she wouldn’t even go anyplace by herself, she would only go places with her husband, she would never take her young son anywhere.
She said that very often she would wake up in the middle of the night just completely afraid for no reason. That this happened a few times each week and was very disruptive and scary.
She said she was feeling she had to do something and she didn’t want to live her life this way anymore. She said “as soon as I found you and started reading about what you do, I started to feel better. And then after I spoke with my Angel Guide, I knew this is what I had to do, I just knew it was right.”
Carrie told me the retreat was so perfectly put together and she said, “I could have never planned something like this on my own”.
She said that in one of her first sessions, a special type of Emotional Clearing, the practitioner saw what was causing most of the fear and anxiety that she always felt. When Carrie was a child, her mother attempted suicide. Her mother locked herself in the bathroom and Carrie couldn’t do anything about it, she was completely powerless and helpless.
She told me that in the session “suddenly I was crying and moaning exactly the way I was when that happened with my mother. I had no idea I was still holding all that”. She said she felt this huge release and all this old scary energy was just gone.
She told me that she has not had another episode of waking up frightened in the middle of the night ever since the session. She said “I’m not waking up my husband anymore, which is great”.
I said to her “isn’t it amazing to find out that we’re still carrying around stuff from things that happened to us decades ago and it’s even more amazing what happens after it’s no longer controlling us”.
She told me that before her Soul Adventure she wouldn’t ever go anywhere by herself without her husband because she was too afraid. A few days after she got home from Sedona she suggested to her son that they go and spend the day together, which they did, including seeing a movie together. Last night he said to her “remember when we went to that movie together? That was so much fun”. She said she feels like she has the beginning of a completely new relationship with her son.
She went through how each of her sessions gave her tremendous healing and fantastic insight.
She learned how to move energy in one session and in her breath session she saw visions and felt a huge connection to her inner strength.
In her Enneagram session, she understood where her skepticism comes from and how healing for her is about having faith, especially in herself.
She connected with her inner child in a way that had never happened before and now that child knows that she is loved and taken care of and safe.
Then she excitedly told me that when she came to Sedona she was hoping for some clarity on her work. She just left nursing but wanted to find something where she was helping people. She told me that because of her Soul Adventure she wants to explore being an energy healer. She feels called to it and she’s just enrolled in an intensive class that will start in a few months. She said this is something she would have never even thought of just a few short weeks ago.
Here was my favorite part: she told me that since she’s been home there are still times that fear will start to come up, but her reaction to it now is completely different. Now, instead of being paralyzed by it, she looks at it and starts to ask herself questions such as “is this my fear?” “where is this coming from?”, “Is this somebody else’s fear?”, “Is there really something to be afraid of here?”
She said that in some instances she’s discovering that the fear isn’t even hers, that sometimes it’s actually coming from the person she’s with and she’s just feeling their fear.
She said “I’m feeling a joy and happiness I’ve never felt before”.
Because of course, that’s the entire point of all this. Even after the Soul Adventure, life is going to continue to happen, stuff will continue to be going on. We’ll feel fear and anxiety and all kinds of things. The key is how do we respond to it? Do we allow it to paralyze us and keep us stuck, or do we move through it and deal with it? Carrie got the tools to do just that.
She told me that before her Soul Adventure, making decisions was almost impossible. Even small decisions were excruciating, especially because she was afraid she was going to make the wrong decision.
Now she can see a big difference in this just in the few weeks since she’s been back home. She’s seeing that she’s no longer driven by fear, so that’s made the fear drop away in making decisions.
She went on to say she bought my book “The Journey to Happy” which just came out last week. She’s already recommended it to 3 people! In the book I talk about how unhappy I was when I first came to Sedona. I feel like I have a lot in common with Carrie — coming to Sedona made us both a lot happier!
There was even more that we talked about, it was such a fun conversation and I told her to please stay in touch and let me know how she was doing and she promised she would. After I got off the phone, I went onto my email and Trustpilot had just sent me a message saying “You have a new 5 star review”. It was from Carrie, she had written it last night:

We're #1, outpouring of love, this is what happens…

What a week this has been! First of all, if you bought my book that came out on Wednesday, thank you so much! The most amazing part has actually been the outpouring of love that has happened over these past few days. So many people were sharing the book with their friends and posting things on Facebook and saying so many sweet things.
Jack Canfield, the author who I think is so amazing (he wrote the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books that have been so incredible) sent out a tweet which I greatly appreciated:

Isn’t that fantastic?
But the best ones were hearing from Sedona Soul Adventures grads. I heard from people who had been here years ago writing to congratulate me on the book but then going on to say things like “my Soul Adventure really changed my life” or “Thank you for giving me my life back”. I love that so much!
Then the real kicker happened. I went into my hair salon to tell them the good news (you know how intimate we get with our stylists!) I walked in and I started to tell Nikki and she said “you won’t believe what happened. Yesterday I started talking to one of my people as I was doing her hair and she started telling me about all this difficult stuff that has started happening in her life and then she said ‘but one of my friends told me to get this book and it’s by this woman here in Sedona who has Sedona Soul Adventures, her name is Debra” and Nikki and I just hugged each other as she finished telling me how excited the woman was just at the prospect of reading the book and feeling better. I said to Nikki, “my gosh, it’s really happening”.
I sat back on Friday morning and just felt so much gratitude. Gratitude for all of you and gratitude for the fact that it’s really possible for someone’s life to shift and completely change. When I think about how unhappy and beat down I was the first time I came to Sedona, it’s almost unbelievable. If anyone had told me back then that all of this would happen, I would have said they were crazy. It just shows you what can happen when we clear out all the blocks and gunk and move back into connection and start living our life purpose. It makes me so happy!
It’s been quite a Journey (pun intended!), but wow, what a ride! Thank you for coming along on the ride with me.

We go to all the must-see places (the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, Abu Simbel, Karnak, Luxor), but we also do things the typical tourist doesn’t do — 2 hours of private time just for our group inside the Great Pyramid, the Isis Temple at Philae, the Hathor Temple at Dendara (where they are doing a restoration project that is showing the amazing colors that are still vibrant and alive after 2000 years!), doing a 5 day cruise down the Nile on a 5 star ship, staying at the 5 star Mena House (which is right next to the Pyramids), etc. And beyond that, going to these places with other like-minded adventurers, doing ceremonies and meditations, making friendships that last a lifetime, it is the trip of a lifetime.
