The Moon is Void of Course today (January 3) from 8:46 pm (Eastern) until January 4 at 11:58 am (Eastern) and the Moon is in Aquarius. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
When the Moon is in Aquarius, you will feel an interest in new things, far out things. There is a sense of emotional detachment during this time. There is more of a focus on ideas and intellectual pursuits than on emotional connection.
You may feel a bit more blunt during this period and other people may be more blunt with you. This could actually cause tenseness in your relationships, so be aware of that. For most people during this time, friends become more important than family. More focus might be placed on people in general as opposed to individuals (social consciousness).
This is a good time for people working with technology, with electricity and electronics and other types of science. New and original (even unconventional) ideas can best be fostered during this time.
This is a very good time to do things to strengthen your cardio-vascular system. Be careful with your joints, veins and eyes. Be careful when handling electrical appliances.
This is an excellent time for meeting with groups or in clubs and a wonderful time to contemplate (but not decide on) a new adventure in your life.
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. We all have free will in all the choices that we make. I like to look at it as good information that can be transcended.
Many blessings,

The Moon is Void of Course Course today (January 2) from 6:11 am – 12:03 pm (Eastern) and the Moon is in Capricorn.
Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
When the Moon is in Capricorn it’s a time of being dependable and following through. People will be working harder and it’s a wonderful time to really utilize your concentration and your focus.
Capricorn is continually striving for financial security, so making efforts along that line will be very good.
People may seem a little more stern during this time (as they are focused on their own concentrated efforts). But within the family, this is a time that brings out familial connection.
It’s a very good time to begin construction or to sell real estate and it’s a very good time for communication with influential people.
Be careful of your knees during this time. Also, be careful to not expose yourself to colds. This is also a time when skin ailments can flare up.
It is a very good time to do anything that involves really utilizing your will power.
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. We all have free will in all the choices that we make. I like to look at it as good information that can be transcended.
Many blessings,

I know it sounds impossible but that’s exactly what happened to me.

Can you believe these pictures? Even after all these years, I’m still amazed.
And you have to understand that I struggled with my weight for over 40 years. I was on every diet in the world — Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutri System, South Beach, Stillman Diet, the Dolly Parton soup diet, vegetarian, vegan, I went raw for 6 months, juice fasts, etc., etc. I had a personal trainer 3 times per week for over 2 years, I bought all the exercise machines, I took all kinds of over the counter diet pills, etc. etc, etc.. – I would lose the weight but always gain it back (plus more) the minute I would even start looking at food again, all the while hating my body and wanting it to be different.
I started ballet dancing at the age of 3 and I have a vivid memory of my body being criticized when I was 8 years old. I was put on my first diet at the age of 12. And looking back, I wasn’t fat! I just wasn’t tall, and I didn’t have the long arms and long legs and long torso that you need to be a ballet dancer. So that criticism at the age of 8 and the relentless monitoring of what I ate began a life-long struggle that showed up as me hating my body.
Every day I used to wake up and think about what would I eat today. My good mood or bad mood at the beginning of the day was determined by what the scale said. I recently found something I’d written in one of my journals “95% of my unhappiness comes from my weight”. Isn’t that so sad?
And then suddenly, something happened. I moved to Sedona, Arizona in 2001 and in 2002 I started Sedona Soul Adventures. One of the wonderful things for me is that I have access to all these incredible healers and practitioners in Sedona and I’ve been doing my own personal healing work with them since 1999. I had been doing a lot of work around loving myself, loving every part of my personality, but I wasn’t focusing that much on my body. And one day as I was meditating, something came together for me and I just really “got it” that there was nothing wrong with my body except that I wanted it to be different and I felt so betrayed by it.
Somehow something converged and I just decided to stop.
I decided to stop all the crazy dieting.
I decided to stop all the neurotic working out.
I decided to stop thinking about it and worrying about it and talking about it.
I figured I would balloon up to 250 pounds. But that’s not what happened. Over the next few months, suddenly 40 pounds melted away. I wasn’t dieting, I was eating whatever I wanted and I was only going hiking with my dog, because I love to go hiking with my dog here in beautiful Sedona. I went from a size 14 to a size 6. It just melted away.
And as I looked back I realized what had happened. That I had finally started loving my body. That the processes I was doing for loving myself had taken hold and started showing up in the most tangible way possible with how my body looks and feels.
So now I teach that to other people. Each January, I do a 6 week Teleseminar on “The Only Diet That Works – Loving Your Body into the Weight and Health You’ve Always Wanted”. I do it with two other people, Rick Reynolds (who has lost and kept off 80 pounds for over 6 years) and Leslee Vogal, who has over 20 years experience herbal medicine and Ayurveda. It’s always so much fun and so inspiring.
Here’s what one of the people who took it last year said:
“I am writing this 11 months after taking the Loving Your Body course: I am so much happier!!! I am no longer in this terrible relationship I had with food and my body. If I want to eat something, no matter what it is, I eat it and enjoy it. I exercise more because that is what I feel my body wants and enjoys AND I have lost a lot of weight….. I can’t tell you how much (since I don’t weigh myself), but at least 3 times a week I am complimented on my beautiful body and the progress that I am making!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

HAPPY NEW YEAR! HOW CAN YOU MAKE 2014 BE THE BEST YEAR EVER?
Another year is in the books, and you’re likely taking stock of your life. As you do a mental year in review, and visualize what you want to accomplish in the New Year, be mindful that the present moment is where your true power resides.
Rather than make a long list of resolutions, set your intentions and let go. True power lies in releasing resistance and allowing the Universe to do its thing. You have to accept the way things are before you can move on. The past is already over. The future hasn’t happened. To live an awakened life, you must remain present in the reality of the now.
Everything that happens in the Universe begins with intention. It’s the starting point of every dream, every goal, every deep desire dwelling in your soul. According to Wayne Dyer, author of “The Power of Intention,” his research suggests “intention is a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place.”
How can you apply the co-creating principles in daily life?
• Stop living from a place of fear, scarcity and separateness. Commitment to consciousness and action, emanating from your core of peace. Focus on soul goals, not head goals.
• Remember that each day offers a chance for a fresh start. Wake up and take a few minutes to check in with yourself: “What is my intention for today? Who will I be? What do I want to accomplish?”
• Use meditation to tap into the silence and stillness of pure consciousness. Plant your seeds of intention from a state of restful awareness and blissful contentment. Believe in the power of your higher self to manifest your deepest desires.
• Don’t try to control the outcome. Don’t listen to the voice of shame and self-judgment. Know your worth. Be specific and clear about what you want to create. Affirm how you want to be treated in a relationship, what you want to be paid for your work, and how you want to earn a living if you are contemplating a career change. Detach and trust the universe to handle the details in its own time and own way.
At Sedona Soul Adventures we can help you bring your intentions and dreams into reality. We specialize in empowering you to live an authentic life . All the answers you seek are available to you. Call now toll free 877-204-3664 or Click here and your Angel Guide will call you today!
And have a fabulous New Year!

We specialize in empowering you to live an authentic life . All the answers you seek are available to you. Spirit is always talking to us. God speaks through the wind, the waters, the rocks and the stars, but especially through the still small voice in our hearts. Still, there are some intentions that do require a plan of action and practical goal setting. For example, you can intend to lose weight, but it also requires lifestyle changes around diet and exercise. You can dream about going back to school or earning a degree, but it takes work, self-motivation and commitment to apply, find the financial resources, meet the degree requirements and graduate.
You can resolve to get out of debt, but it will not happen without effort on your part and learning to live on less than what you make.
I believe that effort and hard work is not necessary. Taking right action is what is necessary and that can sometimes look the same as hard work, it’s not coming from the same energy and doesn’t feel the same.
All the changes you want to make are achievable.
We don’t want people to change. We want them to connect with that Highest Part of themselves that is already there.

One of the best gifts you can give yourself – this Christmas, on your birthday, or any and every day of the year – is to embrace who you are. Accept who you are. Love who you are. And teach your children to do the same.
How do you finish this: I am _____?
They are two very powerful words, for what you put after them shapes your reality.
Do you constantly shame and blame yourself? Live a lie in hopes of impressing others? Worry if people like you? Do you suffer from a tendency to people please or second-guess yourself or feel used, unappreciated or like you give more in relationships than you get?
Most people want to be liked. It’s natural to want the approval of others, whether it’s your parent, your partner or your boss. But too often, people go to extremes to gain acceptance from others. This deep-rooted need for external validation may stem from a tumultuous childhood, a series of failed relationships, or a general sense of inadequacy over your appearance, weight or financial state.
Maybe a parent abandoned you, or you grew up in a critical environment, where there was a lot of chaos, conflict and yelling. Many people carry old wounds, hurts, and feelings of unworthiness from early childhood throughout their life. It’s very well likely you may have repeated the dynamic in a romantic relationship, attracting a verbally and mentally abusive partner or otherwise unavailable. You may be afraid people will leave if you go against their wishes or stand your ground. You may look for approval from people who have none to give because they don’t know how, or they hate themselves and want others to feel the same.
To live happily, to live in harmony, and to tap into your true essence, you need to release your extreme need for approval from others. These unmet needs and scars from your past give others control over your present and can prevent you from acting in your own best interest. They can keep you trapped in a cycle of looking for love in all the wrong places.
It may sound counterintuitive, but people respect your boundaries when you do. And you can give yourself all the love and approval you need. If you don’t know how, Sedona Soul Adventures can custom design a retreat that will uncover where you are stuck and release self-defeating beliefs. Call now toll free 877-204-3664 or Click here and your Angel Guide will call you today!
Each day is a new opportunity for growth and renewal. Live the life you want to live, and quit comparing it to others. Be your own best friend. Stop the madness of putting yourself down, and start affirming your awesomeness. As you increase your self-acceptance, you attract more happiness and radiate healthy self-esteem.
Hold yourself in high regard. Look in the mirror and smile. The person looking back at you is the only approval you need.
As discussed in the last blog, chronic stress elevates your blood pressure, triggers racing thoughts and agitation, and, especially in women, makes you hold onto fat. Left unchecked, prolonged stress also damages muscle tissue, suppresses the immune system, and impacts mental health. Chronic stress causes major damage to your body, health, moods, productivity and general quality of life.
The good news is you can control your stress levels simply by becoming more aware of your thoughts. You can slow your body’s stress processes down with deep breathing techniques, meditation and becoming more mindful. Changing your mindset is free – and key!
Research has shown that positive thinking is very powerful and raises your vibrational level, while negative thinking creates more negative thinking.
How can you increase your energy as well as boost your mood and keep stress at bay?
• Meditate. This involves quieting your mind and letting all thoughts pass without judgment. It is a state of thoughtless awareness – a state of profound, deep peace that occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet alert. It slows the excessive stress producing activity of the mind and the stress hormones released into the body. It enables you to focus on the present moment rather than ruminate on the past or future. Meditation is one of the most effective forms of stress reduction. Just 20 minutes a day will gradually change your vibrational set point to a higher frequency.
• Be happy. Do something that makes you happy and occupies your mind. Maybe it’s writing or reading, playing with your children, dancing or going to a movie, or taking a walk in nature. Happiness and joy vibrate at a much higher frequency than almost any other emotion. When you feel happy, you cannot also be depressed.
• Breathe. Breathing deeply and slowly – and consciously – takes your attention away from your thoughts. It slows your heart rate, brings oxygen to your brain and makes you aware of this life-giving activity.
• Take a nap. If you feel tired, rest. The body often gets compromised and sick after prolonged periods of inadequate rest. Make sleep a priority and try to follow a regular sleep schedule. When you sleep, you naturally return to a high vibrational state. Your body and mind get some relief from the heavy emotions and thoughts.
Beyond the above tips, managing stress comes down to good self-care habits – establish a sleep routine, watch your diet, and find time for regular exercise. The holidays can be hectic, but view any time off as a chance to relax, let go of a little control, and be present with your family or partner. Learn to laugh at yourself. Watch a funny movie and laugh with your kids, or take them ice skating or to see Christmas lights. Remember a Christmas tradition that speaks to your heart and honor it.
Maybe you have lost touch with yourself, always caring for others and putting their needs first. Sedona Soul Adventures will connect you to master teachers and healers ready to lead you to the heart of what matters. You will find solace in silence and hear the voice of your own soul calling you home. Call now toll free 877-204-3664 or Click here and your Angel Guide will call you today!
If life is 90 percent mental, and your thoughts help to create your reality, then it goes without saying that how you manage stress also impacts your health and overall quality of life.
Are you already stressing out about going home to visit family during the holidays, wondering if your gifts, clothes or car will measure up, or fretting over taking time off and falling behind at work?
The truth is: Nearly all of your stress is perceived. Yes, that’s right. Stress and its negative physical effects on the body result from your thoughts. Have you ever heard the saying: Perception is reality. Whatever you focus on expands. Imagine negativity as a magnet, drawing more to you if you go about your day feeling defeated, with a doom and gloom attitude. Wayne Dyer puts it another way: “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
Work, relationships, finances and health issues can all serve as stressors. But when you constantly ruminate over imaginary problems, get sucked into other people’s drama, focus on “what ifs,” and unnecessarily worry, your body stays in constant fight-or-flight mode. This releases cortisol and adrenaline. Every thought you have triggers a chemical reaction that goes out into your body. In essence, if you think something bad is happening in your life, whether it is or not, your body responds the same.
Stress reactions in the body heighten one’s awareness, increase alertness, and improve performance. It’s great for test-taking, emergencies and situations where you feel threatened. But, the long-term activation of the stress-response system – and the subsequent overexposure to cortisol and other stress hormones – can disrupt almost all your body’s processes and lead to:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Digestive problems
• Heart disease
• Sleep problems
• Weight gain
• Memory and concentration impairment
So the key to managing stress is learning to let go of what is out of your control – things like the weather, your overbearing mother, or what other people may or may not think of you. It starts by gaining awareness of your thoughts and living more deliberately. When you find yourself complaining or thinking the worst, stop and ask “Is this really happening to me? Is life really so bad?”
If you feel overwhelmed at work, think of ways to say no in a respectful manner or have an honest talk with your boss. If you know debt is hanging over your head, but you keep buying things you cannot afford, cut up your credit cards and stop doing it. If your family or friends tend to be naysayers or put you down, it might be time to limit your time with them, set healthy boundaries, or find more positive people to hang around.
Beyond feeling “stressed out,” maybe your body and mind are crying out for a well-deserved respite. The spirit of Christmas is giving, miracles and magic.
Yet, it seems we forget that blessings and unexplained synchronicities can happen the rest of the year. Maybe a series of bad things happen. You lose your job. A relative gets ill. Your relationship is on the rocks. There are too many bills and not enough money to pay them. Negative thinking creeps in. Scarcity and fear become your focus. And before you know it, you are spending all of your time dwelling on what is wrong and whining and complaining to others.
Many of you have likely heard of the Law of Attraction – a concept based on the idea that everything is energy, vibrating at different frequencies. Like attracts like. Therefore, what you put out into the world will come back to you. What you believe you deserve and what you expect, you get. When you change your thoughts, you change your reality – and open up a whole new realm of possibility.
Studies also show negative thoughts and constant woe is me thinking lowers your energy level. Limiting beliefs, self-destructive behaviors and shaming attitudes lower your vibration even further. The lower your vibration goes, the less energy you have, and the worse you feel both physically and emotionally.
Here are some simple ways to open your heart and mind to the abundance of the Universe and the joy you long for:
• Keep a gratitude journal
• Live your life with purpose
• Surround yourself with like-minded people
• Visualize what you want to create
• Celebrate simple pleasures
• Don’t place limitations on yourself
• Dare to let life be great
• Trust that happiness can happen – and last
• Live the life you want for yourself, not the life others want for you
Raising your vibration moves you closer to who you really are. If you believe you deserve to have good things happen in your life, they will. Maintaining a positive attitude – and positive thoughts – is the key to manifesting the life of your dreams and giving you the momentum to make it happen. Daydream about what it looks like and believe you are worthy enough to receive it, and the right relationship, the right boss, or whatever you are hoping, for will come.
Often, when you’re consumed with worry, the real issue is with your neglected spiritual growth. A spiritual healing, removing energy blocks, or freeing yourself from old wounds may be necessary to reconnect with your true, childlike essence, and to believe you have the power to change your circumstances.
Sedona Soul Adventures helps facilitate your spiritual journey by planning customized spiritual retreats with Sedona’s best healers and spiritual counselors, so you can find your way back home to yourself. Call now toll free 877-204-3664 or Click here and your Angel Guide will call you today!
Trust that the Universe is conspiring for your highest good. Feel the floating of your soul, the laughter in your heart – and radiate inner joy this holiday season.
Romantic relationships, no matter how badly you want them to remain all good and easy, encounter hurdles. Relationships without any problems may not be stressful, but they cannot be considered as completely healthy. Couples need to have these little downs in between all their ups for them to become much stronger. When small arguments escalate to something truly unnerving and disastrous, some decide to bring their issues to the experts while others simply deal with them on their own and go on a spiritual retreat together.
So what are the things you need to look out for if you want your relationship to last:
1. Letting your insecurities get to you. – Fear, combined with other negative emotions such as frustration and anger, can destroy the peace and happiness that you cherish in your relationship. Allowing yourself to believe that you won’t be able to meet other people’s expectations can cause ugly confrontations between you and your partner. Comparing your achievements to his can also cause a rift to develop between the two of you. Try focusing on the good things that are already present and see this get reflected in your partner’s actions. Going on a spiritual retreat is great because it can be the start of your healing process.
2. Following other couples’ life stories. – Don’t put your relationship in a mold. You have a different story to tell to the world with your partner. Don’t convince yourself that just because you saw your parents end a certain way, then there’s a high chance for you to be the same. Embrace each other’s individuality and work together in creating your own fairy tale. Participate in a couple’s retreat and try to rediscover more wonderful things about each other.
3. Not investing enough quality time – No matter how busy you are, please don’t forget that you have someone in your life seeking your attention and love as well. Prioritizing your career is good, but constantly making your partner feel secure is even better. Neglect is almost the same as rejection — both will make your partner feel unimportant. You can spend quality time together by engaging in activities provided in spiritual getaways. Spiritual retreats revive the sense of belonging-ness and camaraderie that most couples tend to lose after being drowned in their hectic schedules. Experience something together and you’ll surely feel fulfilled.
4. Taking things for granted – Don’t forget to accompany the sweet words with actions. Even if you say those 3-magical words every day, if your partner doesn’t feel it then it’s useless. Make sure that you stay connected to your lover and convey, even in small gestures, your feelings of affection. Bring your sweetheart to a Sedona-inspired spiritual getaway and shower your partner with love.
To achieve a much stronger bond with your partner, take a break for a while and just bask in the overwhelming joy that you can experience together in Sedona’s personalized couple’s retreat. Call them at 877-204-3664 for a life-transforming couple’s retreat! You can also visit their Sedona Soul Adventures website for more information.
