Here are the reasons you should be going to Egypt now – Join us March 9-22

So many people have said to me over the past 18 years, “Someday, I want to go to Egypt with you.” None of those people have ever gone.

3 Minutes in the Morning and the Results Are Incredible

How would you like to do something in the morning that will take you 3 minutes max, costs pennies and will give you:

• more energy
• help you lose body fat
• help you flush toxins
• minimize caffeine cravings
• make your skin soft and luscious
• make you feel good?

Sound too good to be true?

I promise it isn’t.

People are always asking me about health and beauty tips because I don’t just care about emotional and spiritual health, I care about physical health as well. And I wanted to share this one with you…

I’ve done this regularly for a number of years, but over the past 6 months, I got out of the habit. What a mistake! Now that I’m back on a regular routine again and doing it, I can really tell the difference.

So here’s what it is: Every morning, I squeeze the juice of a lemon into a glass of warm water. I then drink it with intention (more on that later). The benefits of this are really nothing short of incredible.

When I got out of the habit of doing this, the first thing I noticed was my skin. I inherited my mother’s skin and it’s really soft and luscious. I noticed when I got back from our Egypt trip in March that my skin was not quite its luscious self. I realized I had stopped my years-old habit of drinking the warm water and lemon and I swear to God – within 2 weeks, the lusciousness was back, as well as a kind of glow. Not to mention I had more energy and I even dropped a couple of pounds!

One of my friends started doing this a few years ago and she found that it made her stop drinking coffee. And she was someone who absolutely had to have a big, strong cup of java to get going in the morning. As she drank the warm lemon water, she set the intention, “Energize me, Energize me, Energize me,” and after about 30 days, she was off coffee. And that was 2 years ago!

I think the combination of drinking a warm liquid and setting that intention did the trick – it tricked her body into thinking it was getting the coffee that was her habitual morning wake me up.

So I’m going to tell you EXACTLY how to do this (it’s important), but first I want to tell you all the benefits. I Googled this when I started to write this and found even more benefits than I knew before.

Here are all the amazing things this simple habit does (my thanks to FoodMatters):

• Lemon is an excellent and rich source of vitamin C, an essential nutrient that protects the body against immune system deficiencies
• Lemons contain pectin fiber, which is very beneficial for colon health and also serves as a powerful antibacterial
• It balances and maintains the pH levels in the body
• Having warm lemon juice early in the morning helps flush out toxins
• It aids digestion and encourages the production of bile
• It is also a great source citric acid, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium
• It helps prevent the growth and multiplication of pathogenic bacteria that cause infections and disease
• It helps reduce pain and inflammation in joints and knees, as it dissolves uric acid
• It helps cure the common cold
• The potassium content in lemon helps nourish the brain and nerve cells
• It strengthens the liver by providing energy to the liver enzymes when they are too dilute
• It helps balance the calcium and oxygen levels in the liver
• In case of a heart burn, taking a glass of concentrated lemon juice can give relief
• It is of immense benefit to the skin and it prevents the formation of wrinkles and acne
• It helps maintain the health of the eyes and helps fight against eye problems
• Aids in the production of digestive juices
• Lemon juice helps replenish body salts, especially after a strenuous workout session

Wow! Isn’t it incredible that it does all those things?

So here’s EXACTLY the way to do this to get maximum benefit:

1. Within 15 minutes of waking up, cut up one lemon into four wedges.
   ** I use organic lemons as they (hopefully) don’t contain toxins from insecticides.
   
2. Warm up the water.
   ** I use spring water, not tap water or filtered water.
   ** I use a glass electric kettle to warm up my water. It’s faster than a microwave, and I don’t want to radiate my water with microwaves.
   ** The water should be warm, not boiling.
   
3. Squeeze the juice of the lemon into the water and drop the wedges in.
   
4. Drink your lemon water with intention.
   ** I will think things like “Love me,” “Help me,” “Heal me,” “Energize me,” or “Cleanse me,” while I’m drinking it. I’m a big believer in intentions and I think that it makes a difference when we do things with intention, especially with eating and drinking.
   
5. Use the lemon all day long and simply pour more water into the glass during the day.

That’s it!

When I went back to doing this again, I was amazed at the difference it made with my skin. I saw the difference in less than 7 days. It’s all luscious and glowing again.

Most importantly, be sure to do the part where you set your intention as you are drinking the water. I promise you it makes a huge difference. I’m reading two different books on brain chemistry and how we can change our brains with our thoughts and our intentions, so don’t forget the intention part.

It’s also a good idea to rinse your mouth out with water 30 minutes later so the lemon juice doesn’t affect your tooth enamel.

One of the first things you might be thinking is – “Is Egypt safe?” I was just there in February and (as usual) it was wonderful, incredible, and safe.

Everyone in the group commented that they felt completely safe. As I said, this will be my 23rd trip to Egypt (my first was in 1983). The Egyptian people are some of the warmest, friendliest people you will ever meet, and they love Americans.

One of the things that is so fantastic about our trips is that typically our people fall in love with each other within 48 hours. So even if you’re traveling alone, you’re not traveling alone! You’ll have a bunch of friends with whom you’ll share these amazing experiences, many of whom will become friends for life.

And now for the first time, we’ve decided to do a 5-day add-on to Jordan and Petra in between the two trips, so that people from each trip can experience these amazing places!

We’ll be going to Petra to see one of the most spectacular places on Earth, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Jerash.

Petra was one of the most important cities on the ancient trading routes of the Middle East back in the 1200’s. And then it faded into obscurity and for many years people in the West thought it didn’t even exist, that it was a kind of Shangri La that was mystical and not real.

But in the 1800s, a Westerner disguised himself as a Bedouin and was taken there. It was re-discovered and became known as “The Lost City.” Now it’s become a Unesco World Site, because it is so extraordinary.

Do you remember the ending of the movie “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”? This is the one where Sean Connery plays Indiana’s father. Towards the end of the movie they are taken to this mystical place where the Holy Grail has been kept for millennia (that part isn’t true).

At the very end, we see them riding off into the sunset away from this incredible place. Here’s a picture that shows the incredible stone structure, and why this place is called “the Rose City.”

In addition to Petra, we’ll visit Wadi Rum, the place that is also known as “Mars on Earth”. The landscape here is so striking and so incredible that many movies about Mars have been made here, including The Martian (2015), The Last Days on Mars (2013), Red Planet (2000), Mission to Mars (2000), etc.

Many other films also have been filmed in Wadi Rum, like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Prometheus and Lawrence of Arabia. The real Lawrence of Arabia made his camp here during his campaigns. Wadi Rum is huge, over about 183,000 acres!

We’ll also spend an amazing day at a beautiful resort on the Dead Sea — on that day I intend to have a massage and a mud bath!

We will also visit the ancient city of Jerash. Jerash is considered one of the largest and most well-preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside Italy. And is sometimes referred to as the “Pompeii of the Middle East” because of its size, the extent of excavation and the incredible level of preservation.

We’ll see treasures I’ve never seen before, even though I’ve been to Egypt 22 times! Including all of the treasures of King Tut’s tomb. Up until now, they’ve only displayed about half of everything they found in his tomb. It will be amazing!

We are going to spend an entire day at the GEM drinking it all in – and I can’t wait!

Check Out This Wonderful New Book, “Jump Without Fear”

A wonderful new book has been written by one of our Sedona Soul Adventures “grads,” Diana Schmidt, called “Jump Without Fear.” It’s a real page turner and I want to recommend it to you…

Diana’s book is so compelling for me because she has overcome so many obstacles and struggles and has come out of it in love with life and incredibly happy.

She came from a background of a church whose dogma was so strong that they told her she should not go to college because they were afraid she would be tainted by being in that environment. Her entire life was controlled by these teachings that were based in fear, guilt, and seeing everyone else as sinners.

Diana’s story is so beautiful because the real thing fueling her was her deep desire “to discover the unlimited potential” of herself and others. She eventually left the church and really began a deep dive into consciousness.

She had so many difficulties along the way – illness, injustice, and the deaths of two beloved husbands, but she has emerged strong and happy.

As I said previously, one of the experiences that was huge for Diana after her Soul Adventure was going to Egypt with us (that’s her 4th from the left). Here’s what she says:

One of the first things you might be thinking is – “Is Egypt safe?” I was just there in February and (as usual) it was wonderful, incredible, and safe.

Everyone in the group commented that they felt completely safe. As I said, this will be my 23rd trip to Egypt (my first was in 1983). The Egyptian people are some of the warmest, friendliest people you will ever meet, and they love Americans.

One of the things that is so fantastic about our trips is that typically our people fall in love with each other within 48 hours. So even if you’re traveling alone, you’re not traveling alone! You’ll have a bunch of friends with whom you’ll share these amazing experiences, many of whom will become friends for life.

And now for the first time, we’ve decided to do a 5-day add-on to Jordan and Petra in between the two trips, so that people from each trip can experience these amazing places!

We’ll be going to Petra to see one of the most spectacular places on Earth, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Jerash.

Petra was one of the most important cities on the ancient trading routes of the Middle East back in the 1200’s. And then it faded into obscurity and for many years people in the West thought it didn’t even exist, that it was a kind of Shangri La that was mystical and not real.

But in the 1800s, a Westerner disguised himself as a Bedouin and was taken there. It was re-discovered and became known as “The Lost City.” Now it’s become a Unesco World Site, because it is so extraordinary.

Do you remember the ending of the movie “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”? This is the one where Sean Connery plays Indiana’s father. Towards the end of the movie they are taken to this mystical place where the Holy Grail has been kept for millennia (that part isn’t true).

At the very end, we see them riding off into the sunset away from this incredible place. Here’s a picture that shows the incredible stone structure, and why this place is called “the Rose City.”

In addition to Petra, we’ll visit Wadi Rum, the place that is also known as “Mars on Earth”. The landscape here is so striking and so incredible that many movies about Mars have been made here, including The Martian (2015), The Last Days on Mars (2013), Red Planet (2000), Mission to Mars (2000), etc.

Many other films also have been filmed in Wadi Rum, like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Prometheus and Lawrence of Arabia. The real Lawrence of Arabia made his camp here during his campaigns. Wadi Rum is huge, over about 183,000 acres!

We’ll also spend an amazing day at a beautiful resort on the Dead Sea — on that day I intend to have a massage and a mud bath!

We will also visit the ancient city of Jerash. Jerash is considered one of the largest and most well-preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside Italy. And is sometimes referred to as the “Pompeii of the Middle East” because of its size, the extent of excavation and the incredible level of preservation.

Going to Egypt makes me so happy!

This will be my 23rd trip to Egypt (!) and just thinking about it makes me smile. This is definitely another part of my life that amazes me – that I get to go to Egypt every year and share it with people who are as awe-struck about it as I am!

And this year I’m even more excited – if that’s even possible! Because the Grand Egyptian Museum is opening in November and among all the other incredible things, we’ll be seeing 2000 relics from King Tut that will be displayed for the first time! Isn’t that amazing?

The old Museum was built in 1905 and there have been so many incredible finds since then (including King Tut!), that it’s never been able to hold all the treasures. I’m going to be seeing things I’ve never seen before and I can’t wait! We’re going to spend an entire day there.

We are also on a new cruise ship (one I’ve never even seen) and I am told by my Egyptian travel partners that it is absolutely incredible!

We go to all the must see places:

• The Great Pyramid (including 2 hours of private time just for our group for ceremony)
• The Sphinx (where we have special admission to do ceremony between the paws of the Sphinx — this is closed to the general public)
• Temple Complex of Karnak
• Luxor Temple (which we see lit up at night — it’s other worldly!)

Reason #1 to go on our Egypt trip – the new Grand Egyptian Museum
Join us March 9-22

I want to make sure you know about something that is happening in Egypt. The opening of the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). And we’re going to go there on our trip March 9-22 2023!

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum for many years. It was originally supposed to have its Grand Opening in October, 2020 and then COVID made that impossible. It’s now scheduled to open in November, 2022, so it will be in full functioning order just in time for our trip in February!

I’ve been watching them build this huge place for years – it’s very close to the Great Pyramid and it’s just minutes from the fabulous Mena House where we stay, so we have driven past it every time we go back to our hotel. It’s huge! One article I read said it’s the size of an airport terminal!

The original Museum was built in 1905, years before Tut’s tomb was discovered (in 1922) and almost an entire floor of the old Museum was devoted to displaying Tut’s treasures. I’ve been told that every single item found in Tut’s tomb (there are more than 5,000 items!) will be on display at the GEM.

And amazingly, King Tut’s treasures will be just part of the amazing things we’ll see at the GEM.

The incredible solar boat, huge statues, mummies, beautifully carved sarcophagy (coffins), incredible sculptures, the amazing colors that have remained after all these years, you’ll get to experience all that on this trip.

We are going to spend an entire day at the GEM drinking it all in and I can’t wait! Just seeing all the treasures will give you such an appreciation and understanding of the depth of ancient Egyptian civilization. Are you feeling uncertain about your future?

Isn’t it weird and upsetting that just as it appeared that things were getting better from the past 2 years of the pandemic, now new problems are weighing on people?

The pandemic has been so stressful for so many people and as we started to come out of it over the past year, I saw people starting to feel more and more like we were turning the corner.

But then all of this other peripheral stuff from the pandemic has gotten piled on – inflation has gotten absolutely crazy, home prices and rent are rising astronomically, supply chain issues have continued to make more and more things not available or cost way more than usual, so many people have quit their jobs that businesses are closing or reverting to much shorter hours, economists say we’re headed for a recession, some large companies have started doing layoffs, etc., etc., etc.

Add in the political situation, mass shootings, and wildfires — sometimes it can feel like everything is just going to hell in a handbasket.

Or not.

It sort of comes down to two questions:

1. Are you living your life in connection?
2. Are you living your life purpose?

What’s happening for most people is that they are living their lives in disconnection on one or more levels – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. When you’re in disconnection you have no solid foundation. When you don’t have a solid foundation on the inside, everything that happens on the outside bats you around like a mobile home in a tornado.

If you aren’t living your life purpose or if you don’t know what your life purpose is, you will most likely feel lost most of the time. There’s no compass, no direction.

Are you feeling uncertain in these uncertain times?

Here’s the truth — You don’t have any control over what the government does, how your landlord increases the rent, how much corporations charge for food, whether or not monkeypox turns into another pandemic, or what other people do.

The only thing you have control over is YOU.

You have control over how you’re reacting to things, how you’re thinking about things, how you’re feeling about things, how you’re talking about things, and what you focus on.

Many people don’t feel like they have that control because they feel controlled by circumstances outside themselves or other people.

If you DON’T want to live in a constant state of anxiety and uncertainty, you need to take back your life.

You need to come back into connection.

You need to be living your life purpose.

When you’re living your life in connection, everything flows. When you have that solid foundation, it doesn’t matter what’s happening on the outside, you still are feeling grounded and peaceful.

When you know your life purpose and are living it, you always know what to do and what direction to take because you’re always moving in the direction of your purpose.

The key is removing the blocks that are holding you back, finding clarity, visioning out where you want to go, and shifting into that new reality.

It’s actually much easier than you’re probably telling yourself it is. Look at what happened with Lashana in just a few days with us:

Like most people, Lashana was feeling uncertain and disconnected. She didn’t know her purpose and had no idea what the future held in store for her. That’s a terrible place to be.
